When people ask questions about religion or spirituality do you sense they generally have a hidden agenda?

I really don’t know what to think sometimes and would like your perceptions and opinions. I read a lot of questions in the religion and spirituality category and have to wonder sometimes what the asker’s motive is in asking the question.
